We are dedicated to serving our community through action and advocacy. We believe that citizens, in partnership with government, can help support those in need and create lasting change. By backing local initiatives that address food insecurity, homelessness, and essential services, we strive to build a more inclusive and compassionate community. Join us in making a difference.

Plan and participate in gatherings that bring members together in fun and meaningful ways. These events may include potlucks, happy hours, guest speakers, holiday celebrations, or informal meet-ups that foster connection and community spirit. Social events are a great way to build relationships, welcome new members, and strengthen the bonds that make our club vibrant and engaging.

The Membership Committee works to engage Heritage Ranch residents who are interested in joining the Democratic Club. We also welcome associate members of the wider community to connect. We recognize that collaboration and finding common ground toward understanding issues are key to a thriving and informed community.

Board meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month in the Clubhouse Library; see the Events Calendar for details. In keeping with the club’s values of transparency and accountability, our Board meetings are open to everyone, however only board members vote.

Election of the Officers takes place during the annual membership meetings in November of each year. Elected officers take office effective January 1st and continue through December 31st. Officers are elected for a two-year term by simple majority vote of the membership present at the annual meeting or special meeting. Officers may serve an additional one-year term if the candidate is unopposed and willing to serve.

Nominations are collected for a leadership position by a Nomination Committee and emailed to membership 30 days prior to the Annual Meeting. A ballot is created 10 days prior to the Annual Meeting, and officers are elected at that time.
